Ka Pow - figuring out your style

My style is governed more by instinct than planning – yes I think things through but more often than not I just go with what feels right.  I think of myself as having a very European sensibility that’s well travelled and eclectic and has a much ness about it – ornate, layered glammed up  - shove some intense colours in there some graphic like patterns and contrasting textures and I am a very happy girl indeed. The point I am trying to make (rather badly I feel) is that if you are all at sea with what to do with a space just let it evolve.  If you come across some fab blousy wallpaper and love it go with it and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. Don’t follow trends just follow your heart. Of course you will make mistakes I do but that’s not a bad thing. Below are some images to inspire of Samantha Boardman’s NY pad photographed for American Vogue by Claiborne Swanson Frank. Suspended dinosaur in the library anyone? Now this may not be everyone's cup of tea - suspended dinasour's are a certain taste but its highly unique and that's exactly what makes it so fab. Another nook of this fabulous library, adore the chairs, the colours and the collection of books.
